Placement is an initial measurement of real-world language proficiency in Reading, Writing and Speaking. Used to inform appropriate placement for students in middle school, high school and college, Placement can be completed quickly and is web-based for anytime, anywhere accessibility.

Placement:

• Engages students with everyday situations in which skills are likely to be used.
   
• Measures proficiency in Arabic, simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.*
   
• Is externally scored with educator access to students' Speaking and Writing samples.
   
• Scores are reported for groups and individuals. Reading and Contextualized Grammar scores are available immediately, and Writing and Speaking are scored externally by certified raters and available within 2-3 business days. 
   
• Reports are exportable to Excel for flexible analysis.

*French, German, Japanese and Spanish also have a Contextualized Grammar component, and Arabic is availble for Writing and Speaking.
