Option A
Includes all skills of Reading, Contextualized Grammar, Writing, and Speaking, all scored by Avant.
Option B
Includes Reading, Contextualized Grammar and Writing, scored by Avant.
Option C
Includes Reading and Contextualized Grammar, scored by Avant, and an un-scored writing section that can be referenced in borderline placement cases.

Avant PLACE, along with all our assessments, utilizes actual authentic texts and audio students would encounter in the real world such as articles, advertisements, and news.
Cross-Device Solutions
All of Avant’s language testing products are compatible with most browsers and devices, including iPads (iOS version 12+) and Chromebooks, to give you more flexibility when testing.

Student success begins with accurate course placement. The Avant PLACE language test will quickly, easily, and accurately, place your students into appropriate courses. Avant PLACE goes beyond other language placement tests by measuring reading comprehension and contextualized grammar as well as writing and speaking, and giving teachers access to students’ scored speaking and writing responses. A dashboard displays demographic data, individual section scores, and a recommended placement level.
Avant will work with an institution to fine-tune reporting to fit its placement levels. We also offer an individual payment option for students to pay for the test online. Avant PLACE is used by many leading colleges and universities that seek a robust and turnkey placement solution.
