Integration with the Avant Assessment Application on Clever for Districts

Avant Assessment on Clever

Avant Assessment has partnered with Clever!
This helps us better serve schools by offering an integration that enables district-wide Single Sign-On (SSO) and student Rostering (Secure Sync).

Clever Integration

Contact your Avant Account Manager if you are interested in integrating your school with the Avant Assessment Application within Clever.

IMPORTANT: Confirm that your district is integrated with Clever before requesting an integration with Avant Assessment.
Note: Users who are assigned the Clever Admin role, also known as district admins, will have district-wide access with varying permissions.

Request Application Access
  • Request access to the Avant Assessment Application within Clever.
OR
  • Avant will send you a Direct Link to login to Clever and add the Avant Assessment Application to your district Clever Library.

   Set Sharing Rules
The Clever Admin shall configure sharing permissions to determine what data should be shared with the Avant Assessment Application and which district users should be able to access the application from their Clever Portal. If you are unsure how to set up the sharing rules, Avant has already done the work for you. Please select the first option Use Avant Assessment Recommendation.

Alternatively, you can also set up your own sharing permissions. By configuring sharing permissions for the application, your Clever Admin can determine what data should be shared within the Avant Assessment Application, and which district users should be able to access the application from their individual Clever portals.
 Set Up Testing Coordinator

The Clever Admin will need to set up the Testing Coordinator as either a district admin or a staff member in Clever. This enables the Testing Coordinator to have district level access through the Clever Portal to assign the testing products to classes/sections in the Avant Admin Dashboard.Clever admins are able to provide various staff and admin users with access to Clever at varying permission levels. Follow links below for more information regarding roles & permissions:
Clever Roles: Overview of Roles & Permissions
Clever Roles: Staff – How to add to Clever
Note: In Clever, a “role” can only be assigned to a district admin or staff user. Teachers always have the same level of permissions, which primarily includes access to their associated sections (i.e. courses/classes), students and applications.*
Access the Avant Assessment application through the Clever Portal
  Access Admin Dashboard
You will be directed to the Admin Dashboard for Avant testing. The Admin Dashboard is used to assign test packages, handwritten option (if applicable), language of the test and testing date.

Set Up your Avant language assessments

After this, teachers access the Teacher Dashboard to set up tests and allow students to take the test.

Step 1. Select classes from the Class List.
Step 2. Assign Test Packages (e.g. STAMP 4S, STAMP 4Se) that will be available for classes to use for testing. If applicable, grant the use of the handwritten option for the Writing test. Note: A test package can be assigned for an individual class within the Class List using a drop down menu under “Product” column or for several classes using “Bulk Product Reservation” menu.
Step 3. Click “Apply to selected” to save changes. The class status will change from “Needs product reservations” to “Needs class setup”.
