Educator Proctoring Resources For Distance Learning
Avant Assessment’s online language proficiency tests must be taken in a proctored environment, with an educator who is authorized by the organization sponsoring the test.
To protect the integrity and security of our tests, the proctor cannot be a parent or guardian.
This document provides resources for one-to-one or one-to-many proctoring (if you have the technology to do so) when utilizing the video communications platforms Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, etc.
Please be aware that Avant cannot guarantee that it will be able to provide tech support for these platforms.
When electing to use a non-Avant supported platform, please sign the Remote Proctoring Waiver Form.
The Authorized Educator Guide walks through the process of remote proctoring an Avant Assessment. It covers before, during and post testing procedures, and includes rules, a test-taker check list, and tips for success.
PROCTORING WITH VIDEO
The Proctoring with Video Platforms Guide describes how to utilize video communications platforms (for example, Zoom) to remote proctor an Avant test. Some of the information can also be applied if you are using Google Meet or Skype to remote proctor an Avant test.
