STAMP Guides Overview
We have created these guides for testing coordinators and teachers to assist them in assessing test takers, analyzing results, using training tools to accelerate student proficiency, and achieve their language proficiency goals using the STAMP assessment.
Avant’s STAndards-based Measurement of Proficiency or STAMP is a web-based and computer-adaptive language proficiency assessment that determines language proficiency for individuals grade seven through adult (ages 13 through adult) in a variety of combinations.

Avant STAMP is available in the following combinations of skills, depending on the language:

4S – Four-Skill combinations:
Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking
3S – Three-Skill combinations:
- Reading, Writing, and Listening
- Reading , Listening, and Speaking
- Reading, Writing, and Speaking
2S – Two-Skill combinations:
- Reading and Listening
- Reading and Writing
- Listening and Speaking
