At Avant, we are dedicated to providing tools for the language journey of students, educators and more. We are excited about opportunities to partner with schools or businesses to help them succeed with their language goals.
ASSOCIATION OF LANGUAGE TESTERS OF EUROPE (ALTE)
In 2021, Avant became an Associate Member of ALTE. ALTE was founded in 1989 by the University of Cambridge (UK) and the Universidad de Salamanca (Spain).
The National Council of Less Commonly Taught Languages Strategic Alliance
NCOLCTL is a professional association that promotes, develops, and advances the teaching of less commonly taught languages worldwide. Avant Assessment is a leader in supporting effective language learning outcomes and language equity through language proficiency assessment and professional learning for educators.
The strategic alliance will provide benefits for students and teachers alike. All members of the NCOLCTL and their students will have expanded access to Avant’s STAMP ™ (STAndards-based Measurement of Proficiency) assessments. Additionally, Avant will develop one new language assessment each year that is selected through a vote of the NCOLCTL membership.

NEW MEXICO PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT PARTNERSHIP
In 2019, we established a partnership with the New Mexico Public Education Department to be the exclusive Spanish language proficiency assessment partner for the state. Other than Utah, New Mexico is the only state in the country that
offers state funding for Bilingual Programs. The new assessment adoption will provide feedback for bilingual educators,
allow schools and districts to benchmark students at each grade level, and inform teaching in real-time to improve learning outcomes.
Below is a mini video series we created to highlight how Avant Assessment has been helping Albuquerque Public Schools and why language assessment is so important!

ASIA SOCIETY PARTNERSHIP
In 2020, the Asia Society partnered with Avant Assessment to provide its Chinese Language Partner Schools with access to Avant’s STAMP Chinese Language proficiency assessments and its MORE learning courses for teachers. This partnership will also offer students the chance to earn recognition for their language skills by giving them the opportunity to qualify for the State or Global Seals of Biliteracy. This is an important opportunity for students to have the ability to continue their language journey at home during this critical period.
NATIONAL AFRICAN LANGUAGE RESOURCE CENTER PARTNERSHIP
Avant Assessment recently partnered with the National African Language Resource Center (NALRC) at Indiana University Bloomington to provide STAMP language assessments in Swahili and Yoruba. This partnership is incredibly valuable for students, as there wasn’t a previous former mechanism for testing student proficiency in these languages. The students can now be offered recognition for demonstrating high levels of language fluency and the opportunity to qualify for their State Seals or the Global Seal of Biliteracy.
